WILDLIFE
Echidna In The Bush
Actually, this doesn't really belong in the pets section, but there isn't really anywhere else to put it.
We saw the echidna near St Andrews,
Victoria, one weekend. It was crossing the road so we stopped to
make sure it was ok. When it heard us, it turned around and went back into
the bush. Safer there!
Here's a short video,
as it buried itself into the leaf litter.

If you happen to come across wildlife crossing the road, please slow down or stop, and give them time to reach safety. Remember, they don't understand speed, and may freeze with fright or even run at you in an effort to escape. Give them a chance to move away safely.
